Students will be introduced to basic electrical laws and theories and their application to electrical devises as seen in a residential setting. Students will learn to identify and properly use the tools of the electrical trade. Students will, through hands on lab experience, learn the proper procedure and techniques used to wire residential dwellings. This includes service entrances, standard switching, three-way and four-way lighting systems, receptacles and switched receptacles. Once students understand the basic components of branch circuits, students will be require to properly wire and install a variety of electrical applications. (All skills will be taught as per the NEC, National Electric Code.)
