This course is designed to present basic physics concepts that may be used as a college preparatory class. Topics included are: metric measurement, friction, torque, Newton's Laws, velocity, acceleration, momentum, curvilinear motion, simple harmonic motion, work, power, efficiency, wave motion, light, sound, lenses, refraction, reflection, diffraction, optics, electricity, magnetism and particle physics. Mathematical concepts will be reviewed as needed.
